Who we are
KTKM Family Charitable Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit and was established to serve orphaned children in and out of Myanmar and other South East Asian countries, with a primary focus on providing access to quality education, safe shelter, essential healthcare, and spiritual guidance within the Buddhist tradition. By nurturing their young minds, bodies, and values, we strive to empower these vulnerable children to overcome hardship, preserve their cultural heritage, and grow into compassionate, capable leaders for the future in and out of their communities.
We partner with local temples and orphanages to ensure they have the necessary resources to foster learning and curiosity, despite difficult political and life circumstances. We support these underprivileged youth with schools supplies, warm meals, clothing, and monetary donations.
Our Objectives
Education Access and Excellence
KTKM aims to provide free and/or heavily subsidized schooling for orphans in Myanmar and other Southeast Asian countries, with a primary focus on literary, mathematics, vocational training and language development. We also partner with local schools, monasteries and community teacher to integrate both academic and moral instruction consistent with Buddhist principles of both compassion and mindfulness.
Basic Needs and Shelter
KTKM establishes and supports orphanage homes that provide safe housing, clean water, sanitation and regular meals. We also ensure that each child has access to clothing, school supplies, and healthcare to build a stable foundation for future growth.
KTKM delivers medical care, vaccinations, and preventative health programs tailored to the needs of orphaned children. In addition, we promote mental health awareness and provide counseling to children who have experienced difficult trauma or loss.
Health and Well-Being
KTKM incorporates Buddhist teachings and cultural traditions into daily care, fostering values of compassion, respect, and resilience. We also connect children with monastic mentors and community leaders who can guide them in ethical living and spiritual practice.
Spiritual and Cultural Development
Community Integration and Empowerment
KTKM encourages children to participate in community service projects to foster a sense of belonging and responsibility. KTKM also provides vocational training and scholarships for higher education so that graduates can return to uplift their communities.
Sustainability and Global Support
KTKM builds partnerships with international donors, Buddhist organizations, and NGOs to sustain long-term funding. We also promote transparency and accountability through regular reporting, ensuring resources are directly benefiting orphaned children.
